Israel's military reports that approximately 250 rockets were launched by Hezbollah from Lebanon, marking one of the most intense bombardments of Israel since hostilities escalated in September.
Israeli police indicated that several individuals were injured and buildings sustained damage in northern and central Israel, including areas close to Tel Aviv.
These rocket attacks came in response to an Israeli airstrike in central Beirut on Saturday, which resulted in 29 fatalities, according to the Lebanese health ministry.
On Sunday, Israeli media widely reported that both Israel and Lebanon are making progress toward a ceasefire agreement intended to halt the fighting with the Iran-backed militia, Hezbollah.
